Considered by many to be the most popular design of all time, the Original Prospector Canoes, built by the Chestnut Canoe Company, date years back to when the original fur traders still traveled great distances in order to deliver their wares to the Hudson’s Bay Company.

This model varies from my other 16 ft prospector. It has 4” rocker instead of 2.5”. The ends are two inches deeper and fuller. The center depth is 15” instead of 14”

The layup is expedition tough for whitewater.
